Fundraising Idea Links from Parker

Hi all,

Here are 3 fundraising possibilities that are products that I personally think would be positive things to put into the community and earn some funds for our school! I also hope the meeting went well tonight. I had to take Aidan to the doctor (he's fine). Looking forward to the updates!

Thanks for the ideas/links. I LOVE the originalworks site.

Here's another fundraising thought. Has anyone else noticed that there is no place to return cans with deposits (not from the Coop) in this town? The Redemption Center has closed down, the machines at Quillins are broken (for awhile now), and Fareway doesn't take them. Maybe there is someplace else, but we just recycled a bunch of our bottles/cans.

Anyway, it seems that every small town I've been in has a collection site for cans for a different cause. You probably know what I'm talking about, but in case you don't... It is similar to a square dog run either made out of wood or fencing, usually located at a gas station with a sign indicating the good cause it supports.

I don't have any idea how much money it could provide, but it might be worth the time and effort to try. Plus, I'd have somewhere to take my cans.

Thanks, Alicia

This is so exciting! Thanks! We have also talked about reviving the Women's Clothing Auction with help from Liz, and a Grandparents Party!

Hi,
More on the Ocean School. They have a pledge drive and REALLY seem to like restaurant fund raisers (Like Pizza Ranch/T-Bocks do). They had 3 of them on their calendar within a couple of months time. Just an FYI.

Here's a fundraiser that the Ocean School is doing. We seem to have a ton of musical talent around here so maybe it could work or some type of contra dance fundraiser for those who are getting cabin fever. Maybe something for St. Pat's Day. Just thinking on the fly here.

REMINDER! SUNDAY FEBRUARY 17TH IS THE OCS TEMPLE BAR MUSIC EVENT.
5PM-8PM ALL AGES!
FREE ENTRY (DONATION ONLY), FOOD AND DRINK FOR SALE, BRING YOUR FRIENDS!

So, for those of you who are new or have never attended one before....

The OCS Temple Bar Event is a musical afternoon/eve held at a local night club (not a synagogue)! It offers some of our older students a venue unlike any other for them to perform at and it's something the younger students can
aspire to. We also have some guest performers who come to sing and play for us too
to round out our evening of musical soiree and celebrate the fact that we have a thriving music program that supports the developmental
growth of our students. All the proceeds received go toward helping secure the next years' instruments that are provided for all 4th
grade students.

We will have food made and served by parents at the club and a scrumptious bake sale too.

Please contact any of us to see how you can help!
